Itinerary

• Day1

  Paro Airport – Thimphu (65 kms / 2 hrs.)

  All the group tour members are requested to report 02 hrs prior to the journey at Chatrapati Shivaji Domestic / International airport Mumbai as per the scheduled time for the flight to Paro via Kolkata. Upon your arrival in Paro Airport, you will be received by our representative, who will assist you in your transfer to Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival, we check in to our hotel. Later free time for leisure. In the evening, we would have a short meet and greet introduction session, to get to know our travel companions. Overnight stay in Thimphu hotel.

• Day2

  Thimphu Local Sightseeing

  After breakfast, head out for a full day excursion to Thimpu. Visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Motithang mini zoo (Takin Preserve Centre), the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here. Later, visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Overnight stay in Thimphu hotel. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

• Day3

  Thimphu – Punakha/Wangdue Sightseeing (77 kms/ 3 hrs.)

  Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & start drive to Punakha. On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass, to view the higher Himalayas. En route, we enjoy white water river rafting (own cost). Upon your arrival at Punakha, check in to the hotel. Later, visit Punakha suspension bridge, Punakha Dzong - built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Overnight stay in Punakha hotel. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

• Day4

  Punakha – Paro Sightseeing (140 kms / 5 hrs.)

  Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & start drive to Paro. On arrival, we check in to the hotel. Later, proceed to visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". Drukgyel Dzong which is also known as Victory Fortress. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Paro hotel. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

• Day5

  Taktsang Monastery (A trek of total 12 km / 2 – 3 hrs. one way)

  Morning after breakfast, start hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery - This incredible monastery clings to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley below. On the left side of the monastery is the retreat place where the famous Tibetan Yogi Mache Lhabdenma attained enlightenment. During the hike, one can see you’re likely to see locals displaying handicrafts for sale along the route to the monastery—evidence of individual enterprise rarely seen until the past few years. The hike is moderate to strenuous. It is also known as “Tigers Nest”. The cave is said to be the origin of Buddhism in Bhutan. In the evening, we have cultural entertainment in store for us, as we enjoy the traditional Bhutanese folk Dance. Overnight stay in Paro hotel. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

• Day6

  Paro - Chele-La-Pass - Paro (35 kms. One way / 2 hrs.)

  After breakfast, enjoy a breath-taking drive to Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) – the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty & memorable landscapes from Chele-La-PassI.t is located between the two most picturesque locations in Bhutan - Haa Valley and Paro Valley. Back to Paro. The evening is set for fun and entertainment, as we enjoy a get-together with all our travel companions. Overnight stay in Paro hotel. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

• Day7

  Paro Airport

  Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed to Paro airport. The mesmerizing tour concludes with fond Memories!!!
