1.    Tashi Jong Monastery

Tashi Jong Monastery is located about 15 kilometers from Palampur. The monastery is embellished with spectacular wood carvings, painting, and slithering. Many intricate idols of Buddha are placed in the monastery which gives a divine look. This is not just a Buddhist worship center; it is the home of Drugpa Kagyu which is an important tradition of Buddhism. The Monastery has a school in its complex along with a Tibetan restaurant. Tashi Jong Monastery has Tibetan artifacts which is one of the main attractions of this place.
