Our connecting flight to Chandigarh was via Hyderabad and as we had a good 7 hours in hand, we decided to explore the city of Hyderabad. We booked an Uber from the airport and drove to the iconic Charminar, undeniably the most prominent landmark of Hyderabad.
Since it was only 8 in the morning we hung around a while near the Charminar, visited the Chowmahalla Palace and Mahtab Mahal, did some shopping around at Laad Bazaar and then drove back to the airport to board the connecting flight.
We arrived at Chandigarh Airport & immediately proceeded to Mandi as we had already booked a car in advance, the start of our Himachal Holiday Package, or can say as Himachal expedition.

The best months to visit this place are from March to June and September to December. We had earlier visited Himachal in the month of May so we were well aware of the crowd that would be there during this peak season. We decided to skip the regular cities and visit some offbeat ones instead.
Mandi also known as “Choti Kashi” is spread out along the banks of the river Beas. One of the main historical places in Himachal, Mandi is well known for its temple architecture, old palace and rich tradition. There are almost 80 stone built temples like Bhootnath, Triloknath, Panchvaktra, etc.

The next day we visited Prashar Lake. This charismatic beauty is a perfect for Honeymoon Tour Package in India, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The lakes deep blue waters are considered sacred. It is believed that sage Prashar meditated on the banks of this lake; hence it is named as Prashar Lake. History says that this lake was created by Bhima one of the Pandava brothers. We stayed for a night at a hotel near Prashar Lake. The sunset & sunrise experienced here was remarkable.

The next destination that no one dares to miss out when in Himachal is MANALI one of the most popular hill stations in the country. We reached Manali by afternoon and not wanting to waste any time we rented a bike to move around the place. In the evening we done Manali Tours, Like a couple of temples like Hadimba Devi, Ghatotkach, Manu temple and also did some shopping at Mall road.

We started very early in the morning the next day as we had planned to visit Vashisht Temple & Jogini Falls. Vashisht Temple is dedicated to Sage Vashisht, kul guru of Lord Rama and is believed to be more than 4000 years old. There is also a hot water spring known as Vashisht Kund one of the famous attractions of this region. This spring is said to cure many skin ailments.
Later we visited Jogini Falls with a little trek through pine trees and orchards. The view of the waterfall was mesmerising. There is a small pool at the base formed by the fall and visitors can take a plunge in it and spend some quality time. There is a Jogini Mata temple at the base of the waterfall too.

After the waterfalls we had planned to visit Rohtang Pass, but unfortunately the pass was closed due to snowfall and we ended up going to Madi. The curvy roads, snowy mountains and garama-garam Maggie was thoroughly enjoyed.

The next day we visited Jibhi a hidden treasure in Banjar valley of Himachal Pradesh. This place is completely covered in green with lots of birds and colourful flowers too. Jibhi is basically a hill station with a few guesthouses and homestay quarters. The café’s located here are managed by the locals themselves.
We stopped-by the Jibhi Waterfall the view of which was truly breath-taking. There were wooden bridges built over the water streams and a cemented pool around the waterfall, it looked nothing less than a beautiful canvas painting. With very few people around, Jibhi is a must visit destination for the peace seekers and nature lovers and the offbeat traveller too, a perfect spot to spend some quite time with nature.

Our last night stay was at Naldehra, a picture perfect hill station nestled between the beautiful ranges of the Himalayas. The view of the wooden cottages and the landscape was just amazing. The most famous attraction of Naldehra is the 18-hole golf course situated at an altitude of 2044 metres. Naldehra is a perfect place to unwind and relax amidst beautiful surroundings.
The next day with a bag full of memories we drove back to Chandigarh airport to board the flight to Mumbai.
